Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism.  A desire to stop drinking is required.  There are no dues for membership either.

Nonalcoholic guests are welcome to attend open AA meetings, and closed meetings are available for those who are alcoholic or have a drinking problem. Members are able to share their recovery experience with one another.

AA meets seven days a week at 6:45am, 12:15pm, 5:15pm, and 8:00pm. They meet at 303 Madision Avenue in Norfolk.

AA members are encouraged to read the books that are available.  Some of the books include 12 Steps and 12 Traditions, As Bill Sees It, and Daily Reflections. AA also encourages their members to get a sponsor to help in recovery.
