Parent to Parent Network
At the Parent to Parent Network, all services are free of charge. They serve families that reside in the Northern service area of Nebraska.
They provide training to parents that will assist them to make informed decisions regarding their children and provide current information to parents regarding their rights and relevant services that are available, both locally and nationally. They also provide advocacy to families that need extra help with schools, juvenile justice systems, or team meetings. They also give parents and families a chance to connect with other families who understand what it’s like to have a child who has behavioral, mental, or emotional disorders.
The Parent to Parent Network also hosts events such as picnics for families and workshops over a variety of topics including stress management for adults.
Support groups are offered through their network, with members chosing when and where groups meet. They select topics that will be researched and presented to the community. The Family Support Group meets in Norfolk on the third Monday of each month at the Parent to Parent office. A family meal begins at 6:00pm with presentation or family time afterwards. For more information on a group, call 877-379-9926.
Parenting classes are held when a require is made. The classes are based on Active Parenting and Love and Logic curriculums. To request a class, call 877-379-9926.
