Northeast Nebraska Chapter of the American Red Cross
The Red Cross in Northeast Nebraska began in 1917 and services the following counties: Cedar, Cuming, Dixon, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, and Wayne.
Services at the Red Cross include blood services and disaster services. Blood donations can be accepted at the donation center in Norfolk every Tuesday. Please make an appointment by calling the office at 402-371-0393.
Disaster services are most often assisting single family fire victims, but also include: providing shelter and meals to those seeking refuge, assisting in immediate emergency needs, referring to other available resources, providing blood and blood products, and handling inquiries from concerned family members outside the disaster area.
The American Red Cross also provides a variety of classes for group or individual needs. They offer CPR training and CPR-PR lifeguard renewals. They also offer babysittings’ training and aquatic courses.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
