Nebraska Department of Labor: Norfolk Career Center
The Nebraska Department of Labor serves the business community and the job seeker.
Services provide a one-stop resource for the job seeker. Nebraska’s JobLink is a self-service tool on the internet for job seekers. Jobs are updated daily and job seekers may build a resume, search, and apply for jobs from home or a Career Center. Job seekers are also welcome to use the resource area to file unemployment claims. Eight computer stations are open for use to the public in the resource area. The Career Center offers initial assessment of skill levels, resume assistance, job search, labor market information, and career counseling.
The Career Center offers business services all in one place. Professionals at the center can answer questions regarding recruitment, training, worker safety, and human resources or other employment-related topics affecting a business. The Career Center can assist with job postings, applications, and the interview process, post job openings on their website, refer qualified candidates, provide job seekers with company’s application forms, perform background checks, hold job fairs designed for a specific field, and search their database for job seekers who have skills, training, and experience to match job opening.
The Norfolk Career Center also provides training programs to help train workers with skill sets needed by area business.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
